Q: What if I have nothing to do with Montessori? Can I purchase?

Of course. While the genesis of the products was school-based, there are many products that are beautiful for the home (tray and linen coasters) or make great gifts (e.g. notebooks and lunch baskets). Shop on!

Q: What is Montessori?

A: Big question. I'm not the best person to provide a technical answer, I can only speak from the heart and our personal experience. I have a lot to say, so you'd have to grab a cup of coffee or tea and get on the phone with me.

But I'm guessing you want an official definition. Fortunately, there are many great resources online.  Try these, and let me know if you need more because I can probably hook you up:

Q: Who is Maria Montessoria?

A: There are many biographical resources on Maria. I like the one from the Indian Montessori Centre - a school started by her and her son, Mario

Q: If a product says that it's made with upcycled materials, what does that mean?

A: The Timeline products: wraps and weights, are made with worn denim jeans. They are washed in hot water before production.

Q: What do you do with the used placemats that are returned?

A: First, I examine how they stood the test of time and use. I ask how long you've had them and how often they were washed and used. It feeds the continual loop of improved product quality.

Second, I shred them and use them in classroom projects such as pillow stuffing or bird nesting balls.

Q: I'm outside the US, may I purchase your products?

A: Not yet - I'm holding off until I better understand some details (VAT and exporting). If you really need something now and are outside the US, contact me to see if we can work out something one-off.

Q: Are your products made in the USA?

A: Most are made in Colorado, where it's beautiful - which means these products are all the more infused with beauty. But I do source a select set of perfect products from Fog Linen in Japan. The wood and metal products are also sourced from Fog Linen, but several come from India.

Q: I am purchasing for my school. I am tax-exempt. What do I do?

Contact me via email at Daria@Montessoria.com. I will need a soft-copy of the tax exempt certificate emailed to me for my records. The school Business Manager will have this on file. Once received, I will process the order and ship the product - tax-free. Please note that this system will process the charge on your credit immediately.

Q: Which payment types do you accept?

All major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. Payment is processed through Stripe. Paypal is not currently accepted. For invoicing (net 30 days), please contact Daria@montessoria.com.
